BKP Ceramics is an intimate pottery studio run by ceramic artist and designer Brooke Kirsch Pinfold in Glasgow's creative Hidden Lane. With a background in interior design and a degree in ceramics from Cardiff Metropolitan University, Brooke creates a welcoming space where students can explore the craft of wheel throwing. The studio practice values the everyday ritual of using handmade things and the connection between material, process, and place. Each piece created is fired in an electric kiln with carefully developed glazes that create rich, tactile surfaces.

The studio offers a progressive range of wheel throwing courses. Complete beginners can start with a 2-hour taster session (£60 solo or £90 for two people) to learn centering and shaping a simple vessel. The structured 5-week beginner course (£250) covers forming different shapes and trimming techniques. Students can then progress to intermediate and advanced 5-week courses, which cover handle making, lidded vessels, plates, and sculptural forms. For those wanting focused individual attention, one-to-one private tuition is available at £35 per hour with complete freedom to work on your chosen projects.

Classes run in the evenings and on weekends to accommodate different schedules. The 5-week courses consist of 2-hour sessions each week, allowing students to build skills progressively. Taster sessions are 2 hours long. All classes can be booked through the online booking system on the studio's website. Private tuition sessions are scheduled individually based on availability and student preferences.

The studio is equipped with pottery wheels for both group classes and individual sessions. An electric kiln is used for firing all student work, and the studio develops its own glazes to create distinctive tactile surfaces. All necessary materials, glazes, and tools are provided and included in class fees. The studio is located in The Hidden Lane, one of Glasgow's most creative neighborhoods in the West End.
